In order to encourage Taiwanese students to study in the United States, STUF United Fund collaborated with the Yin Chin Foundation of USA, providing scholarships for Taiwanese students.
Since 2009, STUF United Fund has been devoted to charity relief, culture and education, public health and environmental protection. STUF has integrated its international resources and has extended its charitable activities to five continents and 24 countries, including Global Taiwanese Business Associations, International NGOs & NPO organizations, United Nations and government agencies.
Yin Qinglong and Yin Lin MinKuan founded the Yin Chin Foundation of USA, which is a not-for-profit organization in the United States. This scholarship encourages Taiwanese students with outstanding academic performance to study in the United States, helping them gain a global competitive edge, along with empowering their employment prospects.
In 2016, five students were granted for the scholarship. In 2017, scholarships have been added for six places. The application is open from February 1 to March 31. Each student will receive 10,000 US dollars. Applicants are eligible for Ph. Degree and MS Degree students in public and private universities that are approved by the US Department of Education in Southern California. Students with an annual household income below NT $ 1 million or less will be given priority to apply for this scholarship.
